COMMERCIAL BUSINESS ANALYST FOR ELKJØP NORDIC AS

Elkjøp Nordic AS, Elkjøp’s Nordic HQ in Oslo is looking a new Commercial Business Analyst. As our new Commercial Business Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering timely high-quality insight and in-depth analytics to support Commercial to optimize decision making and secure Elkjøp’s sustainable growth and profitability.


As a Commercial Business Analyst for Elkjøp Nordic AS, you will utilize commercial understanding and analytical skills to evaluate complex data for intuitive reporting and insight. You will facilitate, educate and provide relevant data and insights through best practice in order to make better data driven business decisions. By acting as a bridge between Commercial department and the data, your insights will support the strategical decision-making processes for strategic key activities.

Who are we looking for?


To thrive in this role, you should ideally have 2+ years of work experience in an analytical position similar to Business Intelligence, Finance, Economics or Logistics. If you have experience from retail – great – an advantage and not a prerequisite in this role. Ideally you have experience or knowledge of Tableau, Power BI, Cognos, SQL and basic Microsoft Office products such as PPT, Excel etc. Ideally you have experience in working with complex data and the ability to translate complex information into visualizations, models and analytical tools.

On a personal level you should have the ability to work autonomously, you are structured, has high attention for details and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. The ability to cooperate with departments across the organization will be important in this role. You should have a analytical mindset, commercial understanding and experience with project management.

  • Business understanding: understand processes, strategic decisions, and analytical requirements from the Commercial team.
  • Insight: advanced analysis through business tools to gain key insights into business opportunities, to challenge our business, and to support Commercial in strategies and decision making.
  • Opportunities: proactively identify business challenges, break them down into analytical tasks, and solve them through the monitoring industry and competitor trends and to determine where improvements and investments should be focused.
  • Project Management: project ownership with high quality implementation.
  • Data: cooperate and consult with central intelligence department to secure data quality and integration of new sources that are relevant for Commercial.
  • Align analytical streams: collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure single truth of data in organization.
