Day in the Life as a Project Architect

Take a deep dive into a problem and discover the technical components of what exists, what needs immediate attention, and formulating a solution to be brought to the client’s VP for discussions with the client. Work closely with both the Client Relations and the Project Teams in evaluating existing client environments for the primary purpose of designing projects from start to finish. You will work alongside the VP’s and provide business analytics with proper documentation and proof of concept.

Build the calc sheet, write a Project Guide and share your discoveries with everyone involved with that client. You will lead meetings, discuss findings and results with all levels of employees, internal and external to F12. With your current understanding of deployment technologies and methodologies, you will research capabilities for bettering the project process. While there are no direct reports under the Project Architect role, you must develop strong relationships between your team members and the other departments within F12.

  • Effective, and constant, communication with F12.net Clients’ and internal stakeholders regarding active support issues
  • Build client Project projects across assigned region(s)
  • Attend all project related meetings with other staff and clients following completion of the sales process
  • Communicate focus on project deliverables between the project team lead and project coordinator
  • Continually improve project process through research of Operating system technologies and scripting
  • Act as the advisor for project plans to guide Project Technicians
  • Provide feedback on post-project analysis and participate in post-project internal feedback and review meetings
  • Be involved with the customer through planning phases of project and changes to scope
  • Travel to different regions to conduct assessments
  • Work with the client VP to develop and follow the calc sheet(s) and project guide(s)

Show us your skills

  • Expert level understanding of F12’s tools as they relate to daily tasks performed by the team
  • Hold a current Microsoft Certified Professional designation
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2012 R2, Microsoft Exchange 2016/2013, Microsoft SharePoint 2016/2013/2010, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft RDS Server 2016/2012/2008 x32 and x64, Microsoft Hyper-V and VMWare, Cloud and Hosted Solutions (Office 365, SharePoint Online, etc)
  • Understanding of Microsoft WDS and MDT
  • Understanding of VMware virtualization technologies, SAN fiber channel, and high availability technologies
  • Learn and understand 3rd party applications such as NCentral, Bitdefender, CA ARCserve D2D, Veeam
  • Understanding of DNS, the internet and mail flow
  • Understanding of Project Management standards
  • Ability to lead meetings with all levels including C Suite
  • Build common procedures and standards for F12 Project Team to follow
  • Quality control (documentation, standard practices, Networker interaction)
  • Proven excellence in all aspects of remote support and implementation areas
  • Maintain organizational certifications including scheduling and assisting on individual certifications
